I am a teacher by day and an actor by night. I currently teach 7th grade Texas history. I hold a bachelor's of science in entertainment business from full sail university and I am currently enrolled to lock down my masters in the same field. Though I am a teacher, I think of myself as an actor first. I love being on stage and on camera but, I want to produce and create my own stories to share with my audiences. I want to have my own production studio producing theatre and tv. I am enrolled to increase my knowledge of the business aspect of entertainment so I can hit the ground running as soon as possible.

Intention
Full sail University has provided me with resources and professors that have either strengthened what I already know or have introduced me to entirely new trains of thought. From accounting classes, to business law studying contracts to identify consideration full sail has provided me with an amazing education and support to make my goals happen. I know it will be tough, but the sacrifice made now will benefit my family later.
I hope to achieve a heightened sense of self throughout my mastery journey at full sail. So far, I have been able to explore the mental aspect. there's a mindset to buy into when starting the mastery journey. I'm learning that the goals to be achieved starts with an honest mind. I know that this degree program will enhance my understanding of the entertainment industry in a way that I'll be able to insert myself where I can be the most productive and proud.
I'm excited to learn about the principals and tactics of negotiation. I know it's being done everywhere but the context behind the negotiations are what I'm interested in and I'm looking forward to expanding my knowledge in this area of the industry. I want to have my own production studio very soon and I know that full sail is giving me the foundation to make this happen.
My ultimate goal is to start my own production studio producing theatre and tv. In order to step closer to actualizing this I need to first secure other short term goals that are in line with my aspirations. I will need to attain my teacher certification for job security. In order to do that I needed to raise my GPA. Instead of taking a few detached courses, I decided to achieve my masters as well. While working on my masters, I will continue to develop my digital presence and my actor reel. My digital presence will reflect my experience as an educator and an actor. My actor reel will reflect my expertise as a film and theatre actor. I will submit my acting credentials, resume and reel to targeted studios and casting directors. I will do this once I have attained my teaching certification which will happen before graduation. The last thing to achieve out of all my short term goals is my graduation. I will continue to work this path and be open to opportunities that present themselves through my efforts and go as far as I can in every path until my ultimate goal evolves from a possibility to a reality.

"Dreams without goals are just dreams and they ultimately fuel disappointment. On the road to achieving your dreams you must apply discipline and consistency because without commitment you'll never start and without consistency...............you'll never finish" (Denzel Quotes, 2022).

This quote has picked me up where Will smith's "plan B distract's from plan a" quote leaves off. These two quotes, interchangeably keeps me focused. They help to correct my mind in a way that keeps me honest and productive. This quote specifically is special to me because I found it at a time when life was looking very bleak and I was fighting to reel back from a setback. It currently fuels my fire and my fight as it did for me while I was in the thick of it.
Will smith once said during an interview that "God put the best things in life on the other side of fear" (Thebenjaminhero, Will Smith, 2016).
I have had the opportunity to experience maximum fear. Being confronted with the very circumstances that I have always had a fear of all my life caused me to push myself to a point where I was able to eventually experience bliss. Through the storm, I was able to find peace and when I found myself in a situation that proved to me that I was no longer "in danger" it makes me see retrospectively that I didn't have anything to fear to begin with. It's all happenings, cause and effect. All I have to do is believe that I will be fine and push towards something good/great for myself and I will find myself out of the "danger" in no time.
"Skip the fear, live the experience.....guide someone else".

BLOG POST 9.21.25-Leadership style
John Maxwell's leadership principles and Robert Greene’s laws of power make a unique combination of leadership attributes to consider. When I put the two together, I see leadership from a place of objectivity and compassion coming from Maxwell’s principles and from Greene’s Laws, I see transparency and tact. When it comes to my leadership style, I’ve already had the opportunity to experience the trial-and-error period of leadership. I was too nice at one point and had to deal with the effects of giving an inch. I understand that not everyone respects you as a leader until you make an impact on their life. Until then, it’s like they see you as another object of compliance. That’s why I love to lead with compassion and serve those that work with me. I assert myself, when necessary, but I feel that it’s more effective to figure your people out so you can get the maximum output from them. My style is geared towards servant leadership because I want my people to know they can trust me and that I truly care about their contribution to the cause and that I care about them as an individual. John Maxwel on page 147 of Developing the Leader Within You 2.0 says “The more I believe in people’s potential and the more I serve them, the more their potential increases” (Maxwell, p147, 2018). I very seldomly had to assert myself in a way that reminds an individual of the authority I actually have because I was able to earn peoples respect through inherently being a good person, caring about them as individuals and their success at their job and it ultimately created loyal employees, more like team mates that would do anything to ensure the success of our daily mission.
